Graid is a UK-based educational app designed to help GCSE students revise through AI-generated flashcards. Our website is graidapp.co.uk.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following information when you use Graid:

• Account information — your email address and password when you register
• Profile information — your name, year group, and subjects (student accounts)
• Usage data — flashcards studied, quiz scores, streaks, and session activity
• Device information — device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting
• Payment information — subscription payments are handled by Apple or Google. We do not store your card details.

We do not collect sensitive personal data, location data, or data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and improve the Graid app and its features
• To personalise your revision experience
• To send you weekly progress digests (parent accounts, where enabled)
• To manage your subscription and process payments
• To respond to support requests

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Parent & child accounts

Graid supports linked parent and student accounts. Parents can view their child's revision progress. Students can accept or decline parent link requests at any time. We take the privacy of young people seriously and collect only what is necessary to provide the service.

5. Third-party services

Graid uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — secure database and authentication
• Anthropic (Claude API) — AI-generated flashcard content
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Resend — transactional email (weekly digests)

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We only share data with them as necessary to provide the Graid service.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing or request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Changes to this policy

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Graid app and website. By using Graid, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About Graid

Graid is an AI-powered revision app for GCSE students, available on iOS and Android. It is operated from the United Kingdom.

2. Eligibility

Graid is intended for students aged 13 and over. Users under 18 should have permission from a parent or guardian to use the app. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must not share your account with others or use someone else's account. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions & payments

Graid offers a free tier and a premium subscription. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually and are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play. All payments are subject to the terms of those platforms. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple or Google's refund policies.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Graid for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the app or its content
• Use automated tools to access the service
• Submit false or misleading information
• Interfere with the operation of the app or its servers

6. AI-generated content

Graid uses artificial intelligence to generate revision flashcards. While we aim for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. Graid is a revision aid and should not be used as a sole source of study. Always cross-reference with your official course materials.

7. Intellectual property

All content, design, and code within the Graid app and website is owned by or licensed to Graid. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

Graid is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including exam results or academic outcomes.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Graid after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email.
